Welcome on the Website of Bram de Jong, Fine Artist from Hardinxveld-Giessendam, The Netherlands. Abraham (Bram) Gerrit de Jong, 1952, signs his artwork with his initials “ agdj”. He designs, draws, paints and assists you to get your ideas and wishes on canvas.

Youth At the age of 17, De Jong started working for an advertising office in Rotterdam. Here, he learned the in’s and out’s of the advertising profession. Later on he moved from advertising into another mode of communication - public relations. All the while, actively drawing and painting. Later on in life he transferred all advertising responsibilities to his brother Bert, who has his own creative graphic studio (www.young-design.nl and www.thememachine.nl). This has allowed De Jong more and more time to focus on his main interests - designing and producing paintings.

Today                                                                                                    

Are you interested  turning fifty, he also started painting biblical scenes and figures. “Composing a painting, to study the subject in depth, gives me a lot more satisfaction than merely copying a subject”, says De Jong. 
Every painting is unique. De Jong uses the best quality oil paint and linen for his paintings.

		Paintings You may view Bram de Jong’s paintings on his website. He often paints subjects he finds interesting and inter-mingles commissioned work into his activities. During the first years he tried a range of different subjects to explore his possibilities. This forges a distinctive relationship with water subject and, the familiar typically Dutch scenery and characters. Historical representations are also found in his paintings. His style is realistic with a hint of impressionism. Fresh and clear colors are easily recognizable on his pallet. He works with brushes as well as with palet knife.
